Custom Four-Manual in the
French Console—Opus #1

Although he had planned to install a Robert Morton Pipe Organ in his residence, long-time theatre organ enthusiast and fine hobby organist, Bert Atwood, presented a challenge to the Allen Organ Company. "Build a George Wright four-manual in a French console, and I'll buy it!" Not only did Bert want the French console, but he chose some other extras—the console caps, bench top, keyboard and pedal board sharps, plus the complete interior are all made out of Zebrawood, with a clear finish! The result—just look! Trust us—it is gorgeous!!

Located on the south end of the lake at Konocti Bay in Lake County, California, this beautiful home provides the perfect backdrop for such a unique instrument. When you tire of looking at the new console, you can then look at California's largest natural lake from the house or from the private dock. In addition to Allen's 'digital' percussion section, the organ features 'winded-acoustic' percussions—you can choose to have them speak individually or together! All of this sound projects through Wurlitzer swell shades located on two very large concrete organ chambers. You will notice, in the photograph above, a grand piano— yes, the piano can also play from the console of the new organ!

Bert and Ann Atwood are very happy new owners and the sound of the organ is exciting, to say the least! Since the completion of Allen's first French Console, it is interesting to note that two more are now in production—can we build one for you?
