CARMELITE MONASTERY

This exquisite chapel is part of the Monastery of Cristo Rey, home to the Carmel of Cristo Rey, a cloistered religious community of women. The chapel is open to the public for daily prayer and is located at 721 Parker Avenue (the corner of Parker and Fulton) in San Francisco.

This view is from Fulton Avenue and shows the wonderful windowed dome over the high altar. To the right, are the towers of San Francisco's famous St. Ignatius Church—a Jesuit parish located adjacent to the campus of the University of San Francisco.
